My Homemade 3Cs Skin Scrub

If you ask most women what they feel insecure about, cellulite is most likely on that list. It is something that women are more prone to than men. How lucky are we! Those little dimples on our legs seem to never go away no matter how healthy we eat or how much we exercise. I am a firm believer in cleanses, sweating, massage, and water consumption to aid in the anti cellulite campaign. However there is also something that you can be doing at home to help with this issue. Dry brushing and coffee scrub! Both help reduce this self-image tyrant.

This 3Cs scrub contains : coffee, cinnamon, and coconut oil! It helps with a few other words that start with C: circulation and cellulite! It smells AMAZING and will leave your skin absolutely silky smooth.
Coffee

The caffeine in the coffee stimulates blood flow, and helps release toxins when applied topically. It also helps to tighten the skin, and acts as the exfoliation agent in this scrub.
Cinnamon

Cinnamon oil is really the best if you can find it. If not, cinnamon powder will do just fine! Cinnamon helps to stimulate circulation and strengthens connective tissues. It also adds to the wonderful aroma of this scrub. Citrus oils are also a great alternative.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil moisturizes, cleanses, and protects your skin. It has wonderfully natural anti-aging properties, containing proteins that contribute to cellular health. It helps to prevent and diminish stretch marks too!
Ingredients
1/4 cup of left over coffee grounds from your morning coffee (waist not, want not)
1 tbsp of cinnamon powder or oil
3/4 cup melted organic coconut oil
Directions
In a bowl combine all your ingredients. Before you apply to your skin, with your dry brush, brush your skin. On your outer thighs, brush in a circular upward motion. This will help with lymphatic drainage. Turn your shower on as hot as you can handle it.

After cleansing your body, apply the scrub with your hands, really working in the coffee grounds. Cover your entire body! You can even use a little on your face. Let the scrub penetrate your skin for about 10 mins while you continually scrub your body with your hands and the grounds. The heat from the shower will help to open your pores and add more circulation. It will get a little slippery in your shower due to the oil, so be careful.

Once you are finished, rinse off the scrub. I also use the brush during this process to help remove the coffee grounds. Your skin will feel moist and replenished. Do not wash with soap again. Leave the coconut silkiness on your skin! When you dry off, you might notice your towel gets a little brown from the coffee residue. Make sure to rinse out your shower well so that the coffee doesn’t stain your white tile.
The more you use this scrub, the better it works! So get scrubbing!

Interesting scrub. I wonder how you prevent the stuff from getting down the drain though…do you use a mesh filter or something? (or just let it run down)
Though the Japanese ladies here don’t seem to be prone to cellulite, they sure have the right tools to combat it!
This was a huge hit a few years ago…the product went through several changes, improving it and re-fashioning it to boost sluggish sales.

I have one and use it on my face and body. It feels nice and results are…good, I guess? A few weeks ago I was asked if my 7.5 year old daughter was my little sister…so maybe it does work. 😛 I never was this beauty-conscious until I came here…it’s scary and contagious!!!
They are obsessed over beauty here. Mega-obsessed. You are in the right country if you want to know the cutting edge aesthetic treatments, etc!!!
Hot rock spa was a big hit years ago for health and dieting reasons. Dieting is a bit off in the deep end here but I won’t get into that…a whole different kettle of fish!
This is hot rock spa:
