Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts

This appetizer is so easy and quick to make and is SO delicious! These little flavor bombs were gone within five minutes of me putting them out! My guests really enjoyed them and yours will too!
Ingredients

12 strips of maple bacon cut in half
12-20 brussels sprouts cut in half
1/4 cup maple syrup for brushing
toothpicks (they must be soaked in water for about an hour to prevent burning in the oven)
pepper to taste
Dipping sauce
2 tbsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp maple syrup
Directions

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

Wrap each half brussels sprout with a piece of bacon. Depending on how big your brussels are, will determine how big of a piece of bacon you will need. You only need enough to wrap the brussels, having the two ends of bacon meeting at the top to be secured later.

Secure it with a water-soaked toothpick and place on new baking sheet. Place in the oven for about 25-30 minuets, until your bacon looks cooked the way you like it.

Once they are ready, take the brussels out of the oven and immediately brush with maple syrup. Sprinkle with pepper to taste if needed.

Combine all the ingredients for the dipping sauce into a small bowl and mix well. Serve together.
