My Bathroom Counter Essentials
Every woman has her own routine. Their own step program of how they get ready for their day or bed. How they prep for their days or nights out. I am personally a product junky. I love trying new things for my hair, face, and skin. I can spend hours going through Sephora and TJ Maxx, looking for new things to try. I am definitely a sucker for the preventative and improvement advertisements of health conscious beauty products. Whenever I discover something new that I love I always tell my sisters and friends. Sometimes I think “How could I have been living without this for so long?!”
I know it sounds a little dramatic for a silly face cream or new conditioner, but to me it’s about those small spa-like indulgences to start and end my day with, that I feel are helping to preserve my youth and health with each application. I feel the same way about what I put in my body as what I put on it. Not all products are created equal; just like not all food is good for you. My vanity rituals are just as important to me as the ones I have in the kitchen. I try to find health-conscious natural products that also WORK. Here are a few of my staples…
Skin
Evelom Cleanser 
This one is a life changer! Trust me, order it now! Evelom’s balmy cleanser comes with a muslin cloth, which paired together cleanses, exfoliates, and tones your skin all in one luxurious extravagance. But don’t let the price scare you. This purchase goes a long way and will last for a while. It contains Egyption chamomile, hops, clove, eucalyptus oil, and cocoa butter that will visibly change your skin and leave it extremely smooth.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir 
This toner is extremely balancing and refreshing. You can instantly feel the boost of radiance with a single mist. I use it before my moisturizer, to set my make up, or for a mid-day refresh. It has an amazingly calming smell that will bring you to a tranquil place. The reason that I love toner is because it helps to balance the pH of your skin, refreshes and moisturizes your skin, and also helps to shrink your pores. All good things!
Rose Water Spray 
Rose is one of my favorite scents! I use this as a toner, but mainly a body splash right out of the shower. The rosewater spray acts as a toner for your body, and leaves a beautiful floral scent. I’ve also added it to my bath water and sometimes spray it in my hair. You can order it online or get it at Wholefoods.
Juice Beauty Products 
Juice Beauty products are all organic and amazingly wonderful! I currently use the Stem Cellular Booster Serum, Eye Treatment, and Moisturizer. All are made with Vitamin C and fruit stem cells infused into an organic resveratrol rich grape seed base that increase cell turnover to help add firmness and decrease wrinkles. Not only do I love these products because they really work, but there is also a consciousness to the company. The power of mother nature, and something you can feel really good about putting on your skin. Lavanilla Fragrance 
Most people don’t think about perfume being toxic or bad for you. However, most fragrances contain harmful chemicals that are absorbed into your skin. Eeek! I LOVE perfume, so I was so excited to find one that was not only a healthy choice, but that also had a scent that was beautiful and long lasting. And let me stress, this scent LASTS! I read something once that said, “not every nose likes every mainstream fragrance due to the various chemical combinations. However, every nose appreciates naturally found scents from nature.” Something to think about. Lavanilla’s products are made with natural and organic ingredients that are stimulating and nourishing. Lavanilla Deodorant 
Deodorant/Antiperspirants contain aluminum, which can be extremely harmful to your body. Think about the location of your lymph system and where you are putting that aluminum infused balm. This has been said to lead to breast cancer. Why take that chance? I prefer to go natural on this issue, and only use deodorants, not antiperspirants. The hard part about making this stand is finding a product that is effective and nourishing to the sensitive skin under your arms. Because I love the Lavanilla products so much I decided to try their deodorant. It smells lovely just like their fragrances, and contains essential oils and anti-oxidants that give you peace of mind when applying it to your underarms.
